Ipswich's Favorite Pub — Est. 48 Years
Fresh fried clams, cold beers on tap, and a stool with your name on it.
Right on the Ipswich River at 3 South Main Street.
Our Story
Nestled in historic downtown Ipswich on the banks of the Ipswich River, the Choate Bridge Pub has been a beloved North Shore institution for nearly five decades. It's the kind of place where regulars know everyone at the bar, newcomers are welcomed like old friends, and laughter is always in the air.
In 2021, new ownership took the reins with one clear mission: keep everything the same. Same hearty portions, same locally-sourced Ipswich clams, same warm atmosphere — just busier now that word has spread. Whether you're a local or just passing through on your way to Crane Beach, the pub feels like home.
Fresh Off the Line
Huge platters of fried clams, served hot and crisp. Unbelievable portions at reasonable prices — the homemade tartar sauce alone is worth the trip.
